Sleeping to the East

Pattern 138

Description

Place bedrooms on the east side of the house if possible — morning sun is the best natural alarm clock and aligns with circadian rhythm.

Why this exists

East-facing bedrooms align human waking with sunrise; west-facing bedrooms are bright when you're trying to fall asleep.
