About these counts
We aim for comprehensive coverage of authoritative sources, not the biggest possible number. Real residential architectural knowledge has a finite size — roughly 500-1,000 distinct directives, 300-500 symbols, and 200-400 materials at the realistic ceiling. Beyond that, additions become near-duplicates or low-quality padding.
Every item here cites a published source and is distinct from the others. Where we're below the ceiling, it's because that slice of the library is still in active expansion — see About the library for the current state and what's coming.
