Grab-bar location and reinforcement
NKBA Bath 17Description
All baths designed for accessibility / aging-in-place must include grab bars at toilet, tub, and shower. Wall blocking should be installed during framing for future-proofing even when grab bars aren't initially included.
Why this exists
Adding blocking later requires demolition; doing it during framing costs nothing and enables future grab-bar installation.
