Short Passages
Pattern 132Description
When corridors are necessary, keep them short (≤8-10 ft) and well-lit. Long dim corridors are the worst residential circulation pattern.
Why this exists
Long corridors waste square footage AND feel institutional. Short passages with windows or natural light are tolerable.
