Rule of thumbRecommended
Bathroom count proportional to bedrooms
LAY-BATHROOM-COUNT-01Description
A home should have at least 1 full bathroom for every 2 bedrooms (rounded up) plus a powder room near the public living spaces. Falling short of this ratio reads as a budget-driven cut and hurts resale.
Why this exists
Bedrooms ≤ 3 → 2 full baths. Bedrooms 4 → 2.5 baths. Bedrooms ≥ 5 → 3 baths. Anything less is a daily morning bottleneck.
