Shower compartment floor
IRC R307.2Description
Shower compartments must have a floor with a slope of 1/4" per foot (max 1/2" per foot) to a drain. Floor must be impervious to water.
Why this exists
Standing water is the most preventable cause of bathroom rot. The slope rule guarantees drainage.
