Range landing space + venting
FIX-RANGE-CLEARANCE-01Description
A range needs counter landing space on each side and a vent path: either pair it with a counter run on the same wall (NKBA Guideline 17: 12" min on one side + 15" min on the other) or put it on an exterior wall for a short vent duct.
Why this exists
A range needs counter on each side (12 in + 15 in landing minimum) AND short-distance venting. Solitary range on an interior wall is poor design.

Solver enforcement
The constraint solver runs check function fix-range-clearance-01 as a hard constraint — layouts that fail are rejected outright.
Backed by research
A range needs counter landing space — at least 12 inches on one side and 15 inches on the other — for safe pan-handling.
